Newcomers was formed in 1981 to promote friendships among women new to Green Valley and help them become acquainted with the area.
Green Valley Newcomers is not a chartered organization which allows clubs to freely organize and structure their group any way they like. The links here offer some suggested guidelines.
Most clubs meet monthly to plan activities and host at least one social activity. Often, spouses and partners are invited to these social events and occasionally the men bond and form clubs of their own. Many clubs form special interest groups such as book, craft, or bridge groups.

Members of all Green Valley clubs are invited to a Spring Event which serves as a fund raiser for hosting a New Member Orientation in the fall. All Newcomers groups in their third year plan and host these two events.
